Sonia Valdivia & Junito Robles met in 2012 at a restaurant called Casa del Mar while she was on vacation with my sisters. A few days later I went back home to Phoenix, AZ. He Kept in touch
he moved down, the rest is history.

They are the true 5-year engagement plan, except it’s actually been a lot longer than that. With everyday life getting in the way, they have had to put their wedding on hold. They will start planning a very small elopement sometime in 2024.

Their family Moved to Windsor in 2015 and like so many others, instantly fell in love with the small-town setting. They have worked very hard to be able to stay in Windsor ever since.

Sonia has worked at Silveira GMC in Healdsburg for 7 ½ years. She started as the office assistant, with very little office experience, to now being the body shop office manager. She feels proud that she has been able to hold her ground in an industry that is a “man’s world”. She is the very first woman to be a body shop manager at Silveria’s. Sonia doesn’t stop there. She is also a rideshare driver. She loves meeting community locals as well as tourists to whom she is able to recommend some of her favorite local places. Her third job is working with her sister assisting with her business, Pop the Balloon Stop. She says her sister is the creative one but she assists as much as she can.

Sonia has always been a hard-working woman, with very little family support other than her sister who
is her rock.

In the little spare time she does have, she loves being at home with her kids and her fur babies, that is her happy place.

Junito is Puerto Rican and was raised on the East coast. He currently works in construction to make ends meet, but his passion is to become a barber. As a child, Junito played baseball and had a dream to make it to the big leagues. He became a young father but his goal now is to make his career goals come true. Junito is a loud, loving individual who loves cooking for his family and friends. He is also a huge sports fan. His favorite football team is NY Giants but has love for all teams, except the Cowboys.

One of Junito’s hobbies are song writing, creating and recording music and also playing video games on his PS5. Junito will always be a big kid at heart.

In 2019 Sonia became a surrogate and helped complete a family that my sister Noemi carried 2 babies for. Noemi had complications with 2nd pregnancy and was unable to carry the 3rd, That is where Sonia
came in. It was an amazing experience. She never would have thought she would be capable of doing something like that.

And if it wasn’t for her sister going through the process first, she probably never would have. Sonia had the same common questions that most people do: How do you not get attached? Is it going to be hard to give the baby up after it’s born? Is it worth it? Her sister, Noemi, selflessly and effortlessly made it happened and like she always done, she paved the way for Sonia. Now Sonia and Noemi have a special connection to this family and can proudly say that between the 2 sisters, they carried 3 beautiful children. The 3rd baby was named after their last name “Valdivia”. To this day they keep up with them and watch them grow.

In 2022, Sonia did her 2nd surrogacy and gave birth in April of 2023 to a healthy 10lb baby boy. Sonia said that being a surrogate wasn’t easy even though she thought she knew what she signed up for. Even though she had no attachment to the babies, she is still human and it took a toll on her mental health as well as her body. She has no regrets whatsoever and is 100% a proud surromom, but she won’t be doing surrogacy again.

Jazabelle (Jazzy) 9, is a Windsor Knights Cheerleader. She’s the definition of her name – very Jazzy. She sleeps, eats and breathes cheer. When she’s not doing sideline cheer, she’s doing cheer competitions.
Jazzy is a 4th grade student at Brooks elementary.

She’s the wild child and keeps her parents on their toes. Since Jazzy was a toddler, she’s been friendly & sociable. She makes friends everywhere she goes and has always been happy, energetic, vibrant and loving.

Stephanie Johana (Jojo) 15, is a quiet, gentle soul.

She has always been very shy. She’s had the same 4 friends since elementary school. Stephanie is a freshman at Windsor high school. She spends most of her days drawing. She has been a great artist since she was in elementary school. She is always doodling, even her homework is always filled with drawings. Art is how Stephanie has always expressed herself.

Stephanie has always been an amazing daughter. She is beautiful, independent, hard working, humble and smart.

For the past year our family has been planning Stepanie’s quinceañera: the passage of a young girl’s life from childhood to adulthood. Since Stephanie has always been a shy & quiet child, it surprised her mom that she wanted to have one! With a lot of planning, tons of work, zero experience and support from many people, Sonia made her daughter’s dream quinceñcenera come true. It all came together beautifully and surpassed her wildest dreams.

A shout to her quince court: Mia’ Bella Marie, Tristan, Valerie, Jude, Steven, Azul, Yoel, Alexis & Jacky

Our family are true animal lovers.

Pets: Shiloh 4 Siberian Husky, Gotti pit bull mixed breed, 5 Remy pawz was 4.

Our family are true animal lovers. Our first family dog was Remy. She represented our new beginning when we moved into our first family home in Windsor. She was just a tiny baby when we got her and she meant everything to us. We lost Remy this year in a tragic accident. It was one of the hardest things our family has had to go through. Remy will always be in our heart and will always be a part of our family.

Later that same year we got Shiloh, a wild Siberian Husky who we rescued at just 4 months and a few months later during the pandemic, we rescued Gotti. Gotti is one the sweetest dogs and loves to be around his people.

This family plans on staying in Windsor for a long time. Aside from her sister, Noemi, they still have young brothers, nephews and nieces who still attend the schools in Windsor. They are very grateful to be a part of such an amazing town and community.
